My stay at the hotel was generally pleasant. The rooms were nice and clean but a bit small for a 'Double' room. Only having one chair was not ideal, and there wasn't enough space to fit another anyway. The cleanliness and modernity of the rooms, however, were impressive, and the place was very quiet, which I appreciated.

The service was excellent during our stay. The staff were visible, very courteous, and friendly, making our experience more pleasant. Their cozy and helpful demeanor added a nice touch to the hotel's smaller, more intimate style.
Location

The hotel is located in a nice quiet historic neighborhood. Although there was a problem with noise from a nearby bar, the stillness of the village during the week made for a peaceful stay. Being close to Dunnottar Castle and having easy access to Aberdeen by bus within 20 minutes was convenient.
Dining

The dining experience was varied. While the breakfast was great with a lovely water view and a good selection of cereals, fruit, and yogurt, other dining options were a bit inadequate compared to expectations.
Facilities

The facilities were satisfactory. Although there was a minor issue with noise from a nearby bar, the overall cleanliness and modern amenities enhanced my experience.

My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The room, while not large, was adequate and nicely updated, with a wonderful bathroom. It was clean, and the bed was comfy. The service was exceptional, the staff was helpful and polite, giving us valuable local recommendations. The location was good, with ample parking, and the view of the sea was lovely. The dining experience was a highlight, especially in the morning with a water view. Overall, a cozy and welcoming hotel with a few minor drawbacks.

The hotel rooms were cozy and well-appointed, although slightly smaller than expected. The bed, although comfortable, could have been larger. The wallpaper in some areas could use an upgrade, but the bathroom was excellent. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff, especially the evening manager. The location suited my business needs and had a good atmosphere. The dining experience was excellent with high-quality products and a beautiful view over the Bay. Overall, a comfortable stay with a few minor improvements needed.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The location was fantastic, close to Aberdeen city center and offering a sweet and fun area to walk around. The rooms, although showing a bit of wear and tear, were decent with a lovely window facing the street. The service was amazing, with helpful staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with dinner being amazing but breakfast a bit disjointed. Overall, a great choice if you're looking for good quality accommodation outside the usual chains.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms, although clean and spacious enough, were a bit dated but still comfortable. I appreciated being moved to the new wing to enjoy my stay. The location, overlooking the sea during an excellent vegetarian breakfast, was a highlight but was slightly marred by the view of the neighboring wall. Dining was a pleasant experience with delicious cooked-to-order meals, although a lesson in improving variety could be learned. Overall, the hotel has its charm and some improvements could make it even better.

Rooms
8.0
Despite being a bit chilly even with the heating up full, the rooms were clean and spacious enough in the comfortable and clean older wing. Being moved to the new wing was a nice touch.
Service

The staff were very pleasant and helpful, with Diane adding a great bit of craic to the experience. Perhaps some areas could benefit from more comprehensive training.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was excellent, offering a sea view during an enjoyable vegetarian breakfast. However, the neighboring wall somewhat obscured the scenic view one might hope for.
Dining
7.0
Dining in the hotel room overlooking the sea was a treat, with delicious hot meals and a good variety of cereals and juices. Perhaps expanding the options slightly would enhance the experience.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel facilities provided a comfortable and clean environment for my stay, with welcoming amenities and a pleasant atmosphere overall.
